I hereby submit my application to be considered as a volunteer at the North Texas Irish Festival (the "Festival"). By affirming the check box on the application form and submitting an application, I acknowledge that I have read, understood and agreed to the following terms and conditions in their entirety.
The term North Texas Irish Festival Volunteer ("Volunteer") shall include, but not be limited to, any activity undertaken within the Festival perimeter at Fair Park, any walkways and roads within Fair Park, the adjacent parking facilities, the Doubletree Hotel (host hotel), any courtesy vehicle providing transportation between the above locations and any vehicle (including golf carts) owned, leased by or loaned to the Festival for the purpose of conducting the business of the Festival. Furthermore the term Volunteer shall include participation in any and all activities leading up to or following the public opening times of the Festival that constitute a part of the preparations for, or clearing up following the event. I recognize that I will be considered a Volunteer at all times during the festival, not just during my specific shift.
In consideration of my/our participation in the North Texas Irish Festival, to be held on the first weekend in March in Fair Park, Dallas TX, I/we do hereby release, discharge, hold harmless the North Texas Irish Festival, the Southwest Celtic Music Association, Inc., the Dallas Directory and the City of Dallas; its, officers, directors, staff, and employees from any and all liability by reason of any damage, loss, expenses, or injury arising from my/our participation in this event, including that caused solely by or in part by the fault (including but not limited to negligence, gross negligence and recklessness) of the above-named parties. This Release and Waiver of Liability shall be binding on my/our heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns.
As a volunteer I give my full permission for the use of my name, photographic or videotaped likeness to be used in any manner authorized by the Southwest Celtic Music Association.
I expressly agree that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Texas and if portion of the agreement is held to be invalid, the balance shall, not withstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
This Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.
